I follow no aims, no system, no direction. I have no program, no style, no message. I care nothing about professional problems, work themes, variations to the point of mastery. I flee all specific commitment, I don't know what I'm after, I'm inconsistent, indifferent, passive. I like vagueness, rambling and constant uncertainty. Other characteristics lead to achievement, promotion, success; in any case, they're obsolete as ideologies, views, notions, names for something.
-- Gerhard Richter (painter)
Imagination is more important than knowledge.-- Albert Einstein
Junk is the ultimate merchandise. The junk merchant does not sell his product to the consumer, he sells the consumer to the product. He does not improve and simplify his merchandise, he degrades and simplifies the client.-- William S. Burroughs
